Over the course of a long-term partnership, our client encountered several evolving employer branding challenges tied to growth and talent needs. Initially, the organization struggled to clearly articulate its unique structure and work environment—particularly to mid-career professionals. Candidates often entered the hiring process without a clear understanding of what it was like to work there, resulting in misalignment: some hires thrived, while others quickly realized the role or culture was not the right fit.

As the employer brand matured, new challenges emerged. The client needed to bring their brand to life more consistently across external channels and throughout the hiring process, which lacked the technology and structure to properly support brand integration. More recently, the organization identified a need to further elevate its employer brand to authentically reflect employee experiences and attract early-career talent and students in a competitive market.

Solution

Envol partnered with the client across multiple phases to build, activate, and continuously evolve a clear and authentic employer brand. The engagement began with an employer brand audit to assess positioning, identify gaps, and inform the development of a strong employer value proposition (EVP).

From there, Envol developed a comprehensive employer brand strategy, supported by practical tools including social media guidebooks, templates, and resources to ensure consistency across internal and external platforms. We mapped and refined the candidate journey through updated job descriptions, branded email templates, and the implementation of a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to embed the employer brand throughout the hiring process.

To further strengthen visibility and reach, Envol supported the execution of employer brand campaigns and targeted social media and advertising initiatives. Most recently, Envol has been leading the development of a new careers site—supporting design, content, development, and video storytelling—to amplify employee voices and attract students and early-career talent by showcasing real experiences across the organization.

The evolution of the employer brand has been met with strong positive feedback from both employees and the external talent market. By clearly defining and consistently activating the employer brand, the client was able to reduce misalignment, improve candidate fit, and mitigate risks such as early turnover.
