Many workplaces have experienced a hybrid work environment throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. We’re now at a point in the pandemic where quite a few workplaces have chosen to transition to a hybrid work structure. A hybrid work structure allows for flexibility among team members as some may choose to work in the office while others prefer to work from home. Hybrid workplaces can be productive and beneficial to many! Plus, they might even be around to stay in the long run.
But hybrid work models can also present challenges. Hybrid work risks creating a sense of divide between in-office employees and remote employees. An “in crowd” and an “out crowd”. Those who choose to (or can) work in person in their office can be seen to have an advantage over remote employees, as they experience more face-to-face interactions with their leaders and other colleagues.
